WORK DESCRIPTION:

A family therapist who is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) will work to reunite and preserve the families through a phased approach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Screen all children for developmental status using Denver II.
 Link children screened below Normal on Denver II to Child & Family Connections, which will provide services on site at Haymarket.
 Develop individual service plan for all children; integrate with Mother’s plan.
 Implement Creative Curriculum cognitive and social development curriculum with all children.
 Implement Building Blocks prevention curriculum with children/families
 Enhance children’s health care through daily observation, and medical attention as needed, by pediatric nurse.
 Improve behavior and development through pediatric social worker’s services.
 Engage Family through family nights, family day visits, and outreach by family case manager.
 Family therapist will meet with Family at least once to identify needs, develop family treatment plan, and to begin phased family reunification/preservation.
 Family case manager will meet with Family to identify case management needs, develop case management plan, and provide referral to services.
 Program staff will engage Family in substance abuse treatment as necessary.
 Family will participate in Strengthening Families parenting.
 An estimated 10% of Family members will participate in vocational services at Haymarket Center.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 Individual sessions will take place with mothers to define family members, discuss reunification and to begin integrating a treatment plan.
 Individual sessions with the identified partner or family member to identify needs and discuss the possibility of reunification and/or participation in the treatment program.
 Individual and group sessions between mothers and partners/family members to implement the treatment plan and to achieve family unification and other treatment plan goals.
 Group therapy will be expanded to include several families together. Families will benefit from each others’ stories and strengths and begin to build a recovery supportp EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

 LCSW or LCPC
 3 years relevant experience

Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred) in Behavioral Health or related field. Must have Illinois Certification in substance abuse or become certified within two years of working in the chemical dependency field; plus one or more years experience in behavioral health or chemical dependency preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge of the disease of alcoholism/addiction and its application to patient care. Must have valid drivers license and minimal auto insurance.

Physical and Menta Requirements:
Good organizational skills, ability to use logical thinking to solve problems. Good short-term memory, good verbal communication skills, ability to provide and follow effective written and verbal instructions. Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates when applicable. Ability to successfully complete training and perform CPR. Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten pounds of force on an occasional basis. This clinician would serve as a professional resource to the treatment staff in resolving complex case problems, and may provide clinical supervision as needed. This position also offers the opportunity to facilitate training for treatment staff to enhance our already expert clinical service.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field is required, along with a minimum of four (4) years of clinical treatment experience, with concurrent experience providing substance abuse and dual-diagnoses treatment. Current licensure as a LCSW or LCPC, or certification as a substance abuse counselor in Illinois is required. Must be able to engage, motivate and retain client population. Description of Organization:
Basic Function:
The Director will build and manage effective and streamlined financial and administrative systems, including financial, accounting, information technology (IT), human resources (HR), and physical infrastructure. Under the general direction of the CEO, defines the process and implement the infrastructure/systems needed to meet the mission and support substantial growth over the next five to ten years. Ensure compliance with federal and organizational regulations as they relate to the administration of grants and cooperative agreements. As a member of the Executive Team, actively participates in strategic and program planning and evaluation.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
Finance/Accounting
Directs the organization's financial activities including financial planning, budgeting, and accounting practices as well as its relationship with the financial community.

• Prepare the annual budget for CEO and subsequent board approval. Monitors budget to actual expenditure and cash flow projections throughout the year.
• Prepare all financial statements, reports and analyses for CEO and Board and ensures proper reporting to governmental and funding entities.
• Review and approve disbursement of organization’s funds.
• Supervise financial operations; monitors income and expenditures, and conducts appropriate analyses to detect trends, potential errors or omissions.
• Maintain all licensing and contracts.
• Develop and maintain third party billing system to maximize revenues.
• Interact and maintain appropriate banking relationships.
• Design, implement, and enhance policies, procedures, and information systems to foster strong internal control over financial reporting
• Monitor and evaluate internal controls.
• Ensure success of annual audit. Ensure organization compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, FASB, OMB-133A, Illinois Section 509 and all appropriate accounting and audit statures.
• Manage the organization’s risk management. Ensures the organization is properly insured. Solicits bids and negotiate insurance agreements. Advises CEO on crucial matters to reduce risk
• Review and update fiscal policies and procedures.
• Supervise fiscal staff.

Administration
• Oversees the annual employee evaluation process.
• Responsible for salary and benefit administration.
• Ensures organization’s compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.

Facilities and Operations
• Manages the Facilities staff.
• Ensures facility is in compliance with ADA, OSHA and all appropriate federal, state and local regulations.
• Establish/maintain maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate and monitor leasing arrangements.
• Implement and monitor maintenance and improvement of facilities and equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
The position requires a seasoned professional with 5-10 years of strong finance, accounting and grant management experience in a nonprofit environment, preferably health care/human services. Experience with annual audits and Federal, State, and Local billing. Must possess excellent negotiating skills and experience and success leading internal business operations and administration. Ability to propose cost saving measures to enhance business efficiency. Proficient using office applications and computer based spreadsheet/accounting applications, preferably Quickbooks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team. Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems. Ability to perform multiple tasks and re-prioritize as necessary to reach business objective are essential.

Master’s Degree in related field with CPA and/or MBA preferred. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong project management skills with an affinity for detail; excellent verbal and written communication abilities; and, outstanding aptitude for training, mentoring, and motivating staff.p To Apply:
