· Only statewide Association that advocates primarily on behalf of substance abuse issues, prevention and treatment. IADDA is recognized for its expertise in the policy and advocacy arena.

· Collaboration with more than 70 other providers in the creation of an advocacy for an Association agenda.

· Access to policy makers, both state and federal, for a whole host of issues important to substance abuse prevention and treatment providers—mental health/MISA, juvenile justice, corrections, child welfare, and others.
